MINUTES OF THE WIG MEETING – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2006

The meeting was called to order at 8:10 PM at the home of Marv and Alexa Alpert.
In attendance were Joyce and Bob Roth, Glenn and Gloria Legler and Marv and Alexa Albert. Guests were Barry and Alva Milowitz.

A motion was made to purchase coasters with the WIG logo. Each couple will pay for 4 coasters each at a price to be determined. It was seconded and passed.

The next WIG meeting and dinner will be at Joyce and Bob Roth’s house on Saturday, January 20, 2007. The region we will cook from is Genoa (Liguria).

The dinner at a restaurant in Queens will be determined after the holidays.

Payment was collected from the Roths for the wine glasses purchased. The Leglers owe $60 for the wine glasses and $18 for the chef hats. Glenn stated the check is in the mail.

Marv brought up the possibility of opening the WIG to more members. Discussion followed on having an annual party where past guests would be invited. This could be at a restaurant or possibly catered at a member’s home. Further discussion was deferred until the next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

It was decided to purchase T-shirts with the WIG logo for the members. Marv will order 2 medium and 2 large T-shirts for the women and 2 extra-large and 2 large collared shirts for the men. Barry and Alva will receive shirts as honorary members.
